HAVE YOU HEARD THE ONE ABOUT THE INACCESSIBLE REHAB OFFICE?

How many consumers does it take to change a rehab plan? When you're Phoenix ADAPT Organizer Ken Heard, and enough is enough, it only takes one. Letters, phone calls and visits regarding their inaccessible front doors had gone unheeded. So, fed up with the rehab red tape run around, Heard drew the line in the Phoenix sand. Parking his motorized 350 pound wheelchair in front of their inaccessible front doors he refused to move until the doors were made accessible. He was soon joined by Jim Driscoll. They made the Phoenix paper and, wonder of wonders, rehab adapted their attitude and within two hours had signed commitment to fix their doors.
