	Peggy Droughty East Pennsylvania - leading the march today. Lived in a nursing home 37 years ago.
“I think I got drenched and my glasses got so wet I couldn’t see a thing,” said Peggy; “but, let it pour down more because I ain’t stopping, this is too important.”
	Marlene Turon Philadelphia “I lost my whole 30’s. I was 31 when I went in and I just got out this March. Nancy Salandra got me out.”
Marlene moved out of the nursing home into transitional housing in a program called TRANSITION TO INDEPENDENT LIVING. She wants to move into an apartment in Philadelphia. “I was born and raised here, I love it here,” said Marlene. “I am on this march to say ‘set our people free.”

She will be 72 years old on Sunday.

“I have no respect for any nursing home. They didn’t give me food, but I had to pay for it. The government gives us shit and we don’t deserve it.”

Ursula lived twice in a nursing home. The first time for 7 years before she just walked out, the IL Center helped her escape the second time. Before the press conference she looked to the sky and declared, “It is going to rain.”
