(WASHINGTON DC June 18) We got to the Memphis airport at 3:30 Central time and now it is 1 a.m. Eastern time. The flight for our group was filled with delays and holdups ending with our flight being diverted to Dulles.
I was just feeling sorry about missing out on the great "homecoming feeling" of seeing fellow ADAPT activists at the airport. Because our plane was diverted, I did not expect to see any familiar faces. At that moment; however, Gordy, and ADAPT member from Colorado, showed up with the same kind of in-flight stories. It gave me that feeling of homecoming and a reminder that I am not alone in the airport travel weirdness. Everyone here has a story of struggling with the flight, and those that don't are probably sleeping soundly now and I have a certain resentment for them. On the positive side, because we were so late, the check-in procedure was very quick. Please stay in touch with this site. Tomorrow we will get fired up for a quality ADAPT action and I promise to provide you with some photos and eyewitness impressions of the action. Tonight all I have is some pictures of weary ADAPT members getting in a 2 in the morning. Free Our People! |
